By accessing or using the PrintKnot platform ("Service"), operated by Technicults ("Company", "we", "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to all of these Terms, you must not access or use the Service. These Terms apply to all users, including Customers (individuals uploading documents for printing) and Providers (individuals or businesses offering printing services through the platform).
PrintKnot is a hyper-local peer-to-peer (P2P) printing platform that connects Customers who need documents printed with nearby Providers (cyber cafes, print shops, or individuals with printers). The platform facilitates the discovery, ordering, and coordination of print jobs. The platform is completely free for Customers - there is zero platform fee. Customers only pay the Provider's print cost directly in Cash or UPI at the time of pickup.
Important: PrintKnot acts solely as a technology intermediary. We do not own, operate, or manage any printing equipment. We do not employ Providers. The actual printing service is performed entirely by the independent Provider. Payment for printing services occurs directly between the Customer and the Provider via Cash or UPI at the time of pickup. PrintKnot never handles, holds, or processes printing payments on behalf of either party.
3.1 Registration: You must create an account to use PrintKnot. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your account information updated.
3.2 Account Security: You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to or use of your account.
3.3 Eligibility: You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account. Users between the ages of 13 and 18 must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement.
4.1 Pay-Per-Lead Model: PrintKnot operates on a pay-per-lead credit system exclusively for Providers. Providers purchase credits at a rate of Rs. 0.25 per credit + GST. Credits are consumed each time a Provider receives an order lead through the platform (e.g., 1 credit per Document app order and 0.50 credits per Document walk-in scan). Each Provider account receives 5 free credits per month.
4.2 Customers Pay Nothing to PrintKnot: The platform charges zero platform fees to Customers. Customers only pay the Provider directly for the actual printing cost in Cash or UPI at pickup. PrintKnot does not process, hold, or intermediate Customer payments in any way.
4.3 Non-Transferable: Credits are non-transferable between accounts and cannot be exchanged for cash, except as expressly provided in our Refund Policy.
4.4 Expiry: Credits do not expire as long as your Provider account remains active and in good standing.
4.5 No Provider Payouts: PrintKnot does not collect, hold, or distribute payments on behalf of Providers. Providers are paid directly by Customers at the point of pickup. The platform never holds the Provider's money.
5.1 Lawful Content: You agree not to upload, submit, or request printing of any content that is illegal, obscene, defamatory, infringing upon intellectual property rights, or otherwise objectionable under Indian law.
5.2 Copyright Compliance: You represent and warrant that you hold all necessary rights, licenses, and permissions to print the documents you upload. PrintKnot bears no liability for copyright infringement arising from user-submitted content.
5.3 Accurate Orders and File Quality: You are responsible for specifying correct print settings (page count, color, paper size) before placing an order. You must also ensure that all uploaded files and images are of sufficient resolution and quality to produce a satisfactory print. Errors arising from incorrect specifications or low-quality source files are the Customer's responsibility.
6.1 Service Quality: Providers agree to fulfill print orders accurately and within the estimated timeframe displayed on the platform. Providers must maintain their equipment in working condition.
6.2 Confidentiality: Providers must treat all Customer documents as strictly confidential. Providers must not copy, distribute, share, or retain any Customer documents beyond what is necessary to fulfill the print order. Violation of this clause may result in immediate and permanent account termination.
6.3 Pricing Accuracy: Providers must ensure their listed pricing on the platform is accurate and up to date.
Uploaded files are encrypted using AES-256 encryption during transit and at rest. Files are stored temporarily on our servers solely for the purpose of delivering them to the designated Provider. All uploaded files are automatically and permanently deleted from our servers within 24 hours of order completion or cancellation. PrintKnot does not access, read, analyze, or share the contents of your files with any third party.
The PrintKnot platform, including its name, logo, website design, software, and all related intellectual property, is owned by Technicults. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of any part of the platform without our prior written consent.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PrintKnot and Technicults shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising out of or in connection with the use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount of credits you have purchased in the preceding 12 months.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we determine, in our sole discretion, violates these Terms, is harmful to other users, or is otherwise objectionable. Upon termination, any unused credits may be refunded at our discretion in accordance with our Refund Policy.
Any disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. Before initiating any formal proceedings, both parties agree to attempt resolution through our internal support system.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or through a prominent notice on the platform at least 15 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
